Featured Wedding {Jamie & Scott}

Bride & Groom: Jamie McGregor and G. Scott Klimt

How you met: Through a mutual friend

How he proposed:  Early morning on Christmas Eve, Scott snuck into my apartment and woke me up.  He said that is was “time for presents!”  He had the first gift for our first Christmas together.   He had made a book titled “Reasons Why I love Jamie” He laid down next to me in bed and read the book to me.  It was so sweet.  Then on the last there was a letter he had written to me.   Still at this point I was completely clueless.  At the end of the letter he got out of bed and knelt down and said “Jamie I love you so much will you marry me?” and he turned the book back to me so I could see my ring hanging on a ribbon in the book.  I of course immediately said yes!

            Desert:  Wedding Cake

Special touches / Décor elements:  My (bride’s) Family is Scottish so my Dad and uncles all wore the McGregor kilts and we had an amazing bagpipper play as guests arrived.

Most memorable moment for the bride:  The day went by so quickly and everything was so amazing it is hard to pick one moment, but I would have to say my favorite moment would be when Scott had to take off my garter!  He was so cute, shy and embarrassed.  He was bright red and it took him quite the minute to muster up the courage.  He’s too cute.

Most memorable moment for the groom: The day was a blur but I distinctly remember seeing Jamie for the first time in her wedding dress. I was waiting to have our pictures taken by the exit inside the Salt Lake Temple. Jamie didn’t take as long as I had expected to get dressed after we were married so when I looked up, I was surprised by the fact that she was walking down the hall toward me and floored by how beautiful she looked. She was simply stunning. I was amazed and couldn’t come up with the right way to tell her how incredible she looked.
