Featured Wedding {Karen & Michael}

Bride & Groom: Michael Potter and Karen Jensen

How you met:  Mike and I met in high school.  We lost contact for roughly seven years, but met up again at a friend’s wedding in 2006.  The rest is history…

How he proposed:  We planned a trip to St. George (where we’d discussed getting married).  We returned to his parent’s home, who were not at home of course, and he had scattered rose petals through the house.  A dozen red roses were placed on the dining room table and another dozen white roses were set on the patio table, along with a candlelit dinner.  He also scattered roses down the hallway and into the master bedroom where he had a bubble bath waiting for me.

Wedding date: September 12, 2009

Wedding ceremony and reception location:  Villa Gardens Reception Center, St. George, UT

Wedding song: “Storybook Story” – Princess Bride

Wedding colors: Coral Pink, Light Pink, Chocolate & Gold Accents

Theme: Antique – Classic

Menu: Chicken, Salad, vegetables (and…I don’t remember? Lol)

Special touches / Décor elements:  Rose petal lined aisle, rose petal table runner, Mothers’ wedding dresses and grandparents’ wedding photos on display.

Most memorable moment for the bride:  The first step down the stone steps, seeing the love of my life waiting to make me his.

Most memorable moment for the groom:  Serenade prepared for bride.  Additionally, the extra performance with friends to “My Love” (Justin Timberlake) for the bride (my wife).  Both were also a highlight for the bride.
