I wanted to simplify a little here and there and focus in on the beauty of just one bloom. Amaryllis is known for being a “holiday flower” but in reality what we know and what nurseries and florist sell as a holiday Amaryllis is not exactly Amaryllis but Hippeastrum a member of the amaryllis family.
Hippeastrum is a popular bulb flower for easy indoor growing, but is tender and should not be exposed to frost. This gorgeous bloom comes with large rewards for small efforts, especially those that bloom inside during the winter months. They make a delightful gift to anyone who really enjoys the art of bloom.
No doubt this amazing bloom adds delightful texture and ambiance to any arrangement. Often brides see Amaryllis blooms in my office books and request its natural beauty in their designs. Unfortunately more often then not the timing is not right to incorporate them within a reasonable budget. Should the timing and budget work out, no doubt this showy blossom will make profound impact.
