Even if you don’t consider yourself a “shoe girl”, chances are good you have experienced that thrill when you top of an outfit with the perfect pair. This is no exception with your wedding shoes, they can send chills up your spine (and down your train), complete the whole look, and infuse your personality in one more way.
Here are some trends you can adapt and make all your own:
Color- Like the color trend, but not sure you want to go as vibrant as some? Try a neutral shade or texture in taupe, silver, gold, blush or champagne. They’ll transition in to the color of your gown and add refined glamour, while still adding a stand-out punch to your ensemble.
Jeweled- It’s not everyday that you get to wear embellishments over your toes (sad, right?), so why not seize the wedding day and fancy up your feet. You can opt for a subtle brooch or commit to this trend by going for clusters of gorgeous gems. Don’t stress if the gems or embellishments are in a different tone than your jewelry, it’ll blend just fine.

Wedges-It’s no secret outdoor ceremonies and receptions are wildly popular with Utah brides, so it only makes sense that wedges have been sought after for the wedding day. They’ll keep you from sinking in the grass, add a little support on a long day, and offer easy elegance. They make the perfect beach accessory, too.

While creating your own shoe trend, here are a few things to consider:
A lot of brides like the idea of 2 pairs of shoes; one for the aisle, one for the party. This is a good idea, but keep in mind your gown will be expertly hemmed. If your reception shoe is shorter than your first pair, you may be tripping over your gown. Or, if the gown is hemmed for the smaller heel, be prepared to walk down the aisle with a short hem.
Consider color. With almost infinite shades of white, take a close look at how your shoes coordinate with your gown. Natural fibers almost always get along, so wearing silk shoes with a silk gown can effortlessly make the tones blend.
Break them in! As lovely as those shoes are, don’t save them exclusively for your wedding day. Wear the shoes around your house, at your desk, and at fittings. This will give them time to form to your feet and make for a far more comfortable (and graceful) wedding day.
