Best Of 2013: Weddings

Happy New Year!!! It’s officially 2014 and we are so excited for what the year has in store for us here at UBB, for the wedding industry here locally, and in turn for you brides planning your big day this coming year! Today we continue our “best-of” series with a look back at the weddings we published in 2013.

Meg’s Fav: this was such a hard category for me to narrow down and pick a favorite because I have loved so many of the local weddings we have featured over the past year. When going back and looking through all of them it was so amazing to relive them all again and see how different each one really was. So many unique details and great style. From simple and organic mountain weddings, to the charm of a backyard wedding, and onto over the top glamour. When I came across this featured wedding, I instantly knew this one had to be my favorite! Jessica Kettle flawlessly captured this beautiful wedding and all the many stunning details. Everything is just perfection! This isn’t your everyday backyard reception and the use of blue accents is probably my favorite use of color this year. A swoon worthy wedding and I cant get over the classic and timeless look of it! Everything from fashion, to the decor, to the food came together flawlessly!

ombrefeaturedwedding_4Lindsey’s Fav: Once again, this was such a hard decision to make! There were so many great weddings published on the blog this year. Finally, I decided to go with this stunning wedding photographed by Alixann Loosle. Rebecca and Jonathan decided to go with a purple ombre theme for their wedding and with the help of Events by LMG it couldn’t have turned out more beautiful. Everything in the wedding accented each other perfectly, the ombre flowers, the ombre stationary, the ombre cake, even the ombre match sticks! If for any reason you missed this feature, you must go feast your eyes on all of the gorgeous images by Alixann!

Audrey’s fav: I also had a hard time narrowing down my favorites among our wedding posts! Both Lindsey’s and Megan’s pics were among my top 5 as well! Beautiful weddings occur weekly here in this great state and we here at UBB find it a privilege to share some of them with you! After Lindsey & Meg made their selections I knew for me it came down to AmyJo & Blake’s very simple and stunning mountain wedding at Brighton Ski Resort shared with us by Kate Osborne. For me a beautiful wedding is either not a detail forgotten and to the best quality or something really simple and organic with just a few details that suit the couple perfectly. This one veered towards the more simple end and Kate was the best photographer to capture the organic look this couple exposed. I loved AmyJo’s fashion choices from Jcrew & BHLDN. She kept her colors streamlined with just one, white and kept all her details very clean and simple!
