Bridal Market Spring 2014 Trends

We are so excited to have Lenni Stratton with Alta Moda Bridal here with us sharing some of their favorite looks from the Spring Bridal Market that just took place in New York City!
“Bridal market is our favorite time of year, and we’re so lucky to get to head to New York City twice a year to check out all the newest tips and trends from all our favorite designers.

This past week, we got to get an up-close look at all the latest and greatest, and we cannot wait to share it all with you! Some of our favorite new trends include highly detailed and illusion backs, as well as longer, more elaborate sleeves! Open backs have been in style for a while now, but we’re starting to see a lot more illusion backs, with ornate detailing and pretty patterns of lace and embroidery.

Designers have been introducing more and more sleeved and modest wedding dresses into their collections, and this season we’re seeing longer and more ornate sleeves than ever. We’re loving long sheer lace sleeves, softly billowing bishop sleeves, and gorgeous elbow and three-quarter length sleeves as well.

And the fabrics… designers are using softer fabrics in all their designs! From delicate Chantilly lace to softly draping chiffon, we’re loving the everything about this shift to all that is soft and airy!

Please pardon our cell phone photos! With the hustle and bustle of all that is New York Bridal Market, taking photos gets a little tricky!”
