We know you love flowers but many of you also love fashion and with NY hosting fashion week this month we thought we might touch base today on wedding fashion rather than blooms! 2014 is fast approaching and many of you newly engaged brides are beginning to hit the racks! We surfed and scoured the web for our favorite 2014 gown trends and have collected 5 of our favs to inspire you while you shop!
This film has made an impact on the entire fashion world that will likely leave imprints for years to come, the bridal industry is no exception. We have seen Gatsby inspired gowns emerge and will continue to see more! This is one trend we are excited to see more of locally, our Utah brides haven’t really broken this trend in yet and we cant wait to see some of our local beauties wear this look! We love this gown for a bridesmaid or a casual bride from the Dessy Collection on the left, or this bridal stunner from Jenny Packham.
Just enough neckline plunge!
Not just for the red carpet anymore a little spice will be on the bridal racks! In the coming year you will see a little encouragement from designers in this area. Gowns with V necklines and other flattering cuts for brides looking to ad just a touch of sexy! Check out the Pallas Couture gown on the left and Ersa Atelier on the right, both classy versions of that plunging neckline.
Color & Edge
We are big BHLDN fans here on UBB and these two gowns from their 2014 bridal collection make no exception to our enthusiasm! A little bit of edge is making its way back onto the bridal scene in the way of black accents. While we think this could go terribly wrong we love how BHLDN interpreted this idea with a big bow black sash! And color will continue to make its presence known in soft hues and tones of metals and pastels!
A good amount of fashion attention is being paid to your backside brides! The coming year will continue to fill your neither side with grace and beauty as well as details that will make you want to ensure your guest see you from behind too! We loved this one on the left from Ines DiSanto with the swoop of fabric and delicate details and to the right a Lazaro gown takes on a girl next door feel that is pretty cute while being elegant as well!
We may be seeing some revealing gowns trending but we are also seeing some full coverage hit the bridal fashion scene. Flattering, bridal, and modest! A perfect fit for many of our local brides! This almost 70’s feeling Luisa Beccaria gown on the left is a perfect fit for that boho feeling bride and this Reem Acra gown is hitting the top 10 list of many fashion experts, that studded top is just the right kind of bridal bling!
