Featured Wedding {Jenni and Mitch}

Bride & Grooms:  Jenni Mella and Mitch Miller

How you met:  Through mutual friends. He was kind of dating a friend of mine. oops!

How he proposed:  We were driving down to Parowan for a family reunion and we stopped at Bryce canyon to go on a scenic drive. He told me knew of a really pretty overlook that he wanted me to see so we hiked down (it was freezing!) He had me close my eyes as we walked to the overlook. When I opened my eyes, he was on the ledge of a cliff overlooking with most gorgeous view of Bryce canyon. But even more gorgeous than that, was the sparkly ring he had in his hand! I was completely surprised and had no idea it was coming so it made it extra special.

Wedding date:  September 18, 2009.

Wedding ceremony location:  Mt. Timpanogos Temple.

Reception location:  Mella’s backyard

Wedding song:  The Way You Look Tonight

Wedding colors:  Pink, champagne and Tiffany Blue

Menu:  Raspberry chipotle meatballs, caprese salad, hummus on croutons and fruit. Cupcakes of all colors were served as well.

Special touches / Décor elements:  Favorite thing of the bride was the kids table that had pink cotton candy on a tree, pink rock candies, and white chocolate popcorn. All the cousins and nieces were dressed in a cream shirt, pink tutu and a flower on their wrist. Bride’s mom also made her famous homemade white chocolate truffles with a blue M on top.

Most memorable moment for the bride:  Introducing Mitch to our first guest as my HUSBAND! And dancing with my dad. We had talked about our “wedding dance” my whole life! It was very sweet and both of us cried. (Good tears!)

Most memorable moment for the groom:  Seeing Jenni in her dress for the first time.
