Featured Wedding {Jenaya & Jon}

Happy Monday lovely UBB readers! Today we have one amazing wedding to share with everyone and lots and lots of yummy eye candy! We just love Jenaya and Jon’s detailed wedding shot by the talented Lindsey Shaun Photography! We thought it would be interesting to share a little bit from Lindsey about her connection with the bride and groom.

“This couple is AMAZING!  From the moment I met them I understood without even knowing them, that they were a very modern couple in love with the past!  The other thing that was very unique about them is that they were so prepared.  I think with most of us that get married, we tend to pull ideas from here and there that we like and hope it all comes together . . . Jon and Jenaya (and I include Jon for a reason!  he was such a part/support to Jenaya in planning their wedding . . . I think they had this in the planning from the day they could walk!  Every detail, thought, and feeling they wanted at their wedding they were able to magically bring it to pass!

The connection Jon and Jenaya have is one that ANY person would be envious of!  Calm, Creamy, Sweet, Gentle, Loving, Patient, Mature, Timeless . . . . you know how you look at old little couples and think of how sweet they are . . .that is what i think of with Jon and Jenaya!  (minus the old part!)

Jon and Jenaya met at the University of Utah.  Jenaya was sitting on a bench reading a paper! when Jon passed by and decided to approach her!  (that is my most favorite detail they told me just because I can visualize it!)

I feel SO blessed to have not only been selected as their wedding photographer but to now honestly have them as my friends!  When I left their wedding I called my husband and started to tear up as I told him how grateful I felt to have met them and be a part of something so special! Thanks again for featuring this wedding!  It has been my most favorite of the year for more then one reason!”

    Jenaya:
    Your dress is absolutely stunning. I am getting married next year and that is the EXACT dress I’ve been visualizing for months. SO many dresses in UT look the same; I just love the simple, unique style– sleeves, cut, fabric, lace, and look of your dress. I wonder if you could share your source? Did you get it off the rack or have it custom made? Also, I know this is a long shot, but if you are willing to sell or rent your gown, I would love to chat w/you.

    Where to start…the photography is beautiful- Lindsey captured all the details perfectly, all the vintage decor- I especially love the mailbox to write the bride and groom a note, the handcrafted cake topper is impressive and one-of-a-kind, all the bridesmaids bouquets and groomsmen boutonnieres that vary-love the touch of buttons. Very nice work to all the vendors and the couple!

  3. Love the cake topper and boutonnieres! Such a darling wedding! The photos are so cute!

  4. I have been watching this wedding film by Kale Fitch for what… weeks? Months? As long as he has had it on his blog and vimeo feed! I LOVED this wedding and am so pleased to see some of the still from the day as well! The video was totally inspirational to me, and since I’m a photographer, I hope to take something away from these images as well! As soon as I saw jenaya’s name in my feed I knew it had to be the same couple! :) Wonderful, wonderful wedding and beautiful beautiful details. And AWESOME to hear that the two of you worked as a TEAM on it! :D

    Love this wedding! I am making my own cake topper similar to the one the bride has shown here. What did she use for the base of it? IS it wood, or an initial cake topper decorated. I’m afraid if I just make one it will be too heavy!
