Flower Friday: A Park City Holiday Wedding

Keely & Chris are Canadians with a passion for film festivals and therefor our very own infamous Park City Utah. Chris proved to be a true romantic when he proposed to Keely on a surprise vacation to New York City in Central park over her birthday. After he proposed, he took her to Kleinfeld’s where all the special ladies in her life were waiting to help her pick out a gown.

Keely & Chris got married on the open grounds at Deer Valley with a reception to follow at the prestigious Goldener Hirsch. Their event featured accents attributed to their love of film, and a bold color scheme of mostly red with accents of what we could consider neutrals, black, gray, and gold. Their event had a very rich, romantic, and holiday like feel to it and exuded the coziness that is often felt in the mountains of Park City.

Studio Stems did the flowers for this happy nuptial and used traditional red roses in a full size and a spray, red carnations, red dahlias, as well as tulips at a very open stage. Accented by feathers, fabric, and wire. A great example of a simple recipe with grand results.

Keely’s bouquet was a core of a variety of red blooms accented by multiple textures of red feathers collared in gray feathers and wrapped in gray Swiss satin ribbon and pearls. Chris’s bout was a large open red dahlia accompanied by feathers wrapped in red with a gold wire accent.

The outdoor ceremony was simple and their guest stood along side a red rose petal lined aisle with vases of simple blooms and a chupa at the alter. The reception to follow was set in a private room at Goldener Hirsch and the guests were seated at one long table for an intimate diner. The table was adorned with a large focal centerpiece and several smaller pieces, red rose petals, and film canister accents.
