Irish Romance Inspired Wedding

Today we have a romantic Irish inspired wedding to show off full of gorgeous details! The shoot was inspired by the feelings Ireland evokes – cozy wool sweaters, mysterious rock cliffs, rustic terrain, and simple family gatherings. This shoot was photographed by Tonya Peterson and was designed by Kim from Petal Pixie, along with their team of vendors did such an amazing job capturing this Irish wedding!

“Our inspiration for the flowers was a rustic romance. We wanted the flowers to be soft and romantic with hints of wildness to them. We used fluffy white garden roses, ranunculus, and sweet peas, offset by the lush delicate greenery, navy berries and blush roses. We kept the table design simple with white dishes, pewter and crystal vessels and pewter candlesticks.  Hand embroidery shamrocks on the napkins give the subtle feel of Ireland.

The stationary was designed with Ireland in mind. The knotted design and use of crisp white and green in the invitations make these invitations look uniquely Irish.  Knitted bands wrapped around the envelope finished the look.

The dress was the perfect combination of simple elegance with its flowing skirt and ruffled bodice.  Along with the soft delicate mantilla veil and halo of ivy reflects the whimsical side of Ireland.  The suit was gray wool tweed, which brought a level of texture and warmth to the shoot.”
