UBB Summer Lakeside {Inspiration Wedding}

Good morning UBB followers! We are so excited about the week to come and what we have to offer you. Do you remember our Spring Garden inspiration shoot? If so, you likely also remember our promise to bring you an amazing week of inspiration each and every season this year! So this week we are thrilled to show you our Summer Lakeside inspiration! As before and as promised it will be filled with advice each and every day, tons of inspiration and eye candy, and includes the work of some very talented vendors!

We live in a blessed and privileged country, full of tradition and timeless symbols. A more casual type wedding, yet still beautiful and elegant enough for such a fine celebration, this inspiration took place lakeside and was inspired by our American roots, starting with the color scheme, red, white, and blue! This may not at first be the most idealistic choice for wedding colors, but in the end is quiet stunning and provides amazing contrast that packs an eye candy punch and is a lot of fun to work with! We drew from the most all American symbol, the flag and used striped patterns for a little bit of fun modern play, softened by rosettes and floral type shapes. What would a wedding such as this be without some of the classics behind it like pie?! The elements and details used throughout remind us of who we are and show us all what a gorgeous and fun event this theme provides.

We chose the historic Johnson Mill in the quaint and serene area of Midway, Utah near Park City for this nostalgic shoot. The scene says it all! It’s the epitome of Utah beauty, lush mountain grass near a small natural lake with our infamous snow-capped mountains to back it all up. This amazing venue boasts 30 acres of private land, and it’s generous yet quaint lake comes equipped with paddle boats, ducks, and swans! It’s also among the most romantic places to stay in America! It was originally a flour mill {130 years ago}, turned Hotel & Venue full of charm! A near perfect choice for that destination bride needing to provide accommodations as well, this charming place offers 8 deluxe rooms and 2 plush suites that come with your venue reservation.

Photography for this shoot was generously & beautifully supplied by one of UBB’s own {of course} Kate Osborne. Kate’s work is simple and not over processed, providing a classic and timeless feel that she maintains artistic passion for. She feels that it’s very important for wedding photos to feel natural so that they truthfully reflect the couple the event celebrates. In addition to that we have also selected another of our preferred vendors, Chris McClain productions to be on site with us and capture the actual footage behind all this inspiration. Chris has a unique cinematic style that allows the viewer to feel more then just entertained, you really get a sense of the actual event mood, style, color, personality and beauty through his production. Chris is a very detailed videographer, and this is one of the many reasons we support his work. Hours of prep and planning go into those details at a wedding and no doubt that Chris will & does capture that. Chris actually loves what he does, you can feel that exude from him when your in his presence, this results in a timeless piece of art that creates the opportunity to re-live your blessed event.

Without further ado …. enjoy!
