It’s finally that time we get to share our gorgeous Winter Wedding Shoot! For this shoot we really wanted to see a lot of glam and elegance. The stunning images were taken by the very talented and lovely Jacque Lynn Photography at the equally beautiful and legendary La Caille! We were honored to have the amazing Mara with Events by LMG bring our concept to life with her beautiful styling and design work. Mara shares with us a little about the inspiration behind her brilliance:
“For me, winter inspires design elements that are both cozy and elegant. The dining room at La Caille served as the perfect environment for our concept. The large and inviting fireplace surrounded by large windows set a beautiful scene for our different elements. An unexpected color palette of Navy Blue, Tiffany Blue, Gold and Ivory gave our winter concept an updated and contemporary feel. Our gorgeous centerpiece took center stage in a vessel accented with a perforated gold metal. Opting to match our Chivari chair pads with our napkins rather than our linen really made that navy color stand out. The tulle poms are an easy and fun DIY project that could be incorporated through out an entire event within ceremony décor, photo booth props and chair décor as we did. (Catch the DIY tutorial later in the week!). I am a huge fan of custom “bride” & “groom” chair signage; they can make for fun photo props when working with your photographer. We worked with our stationer to design these items in the same colors, with the same fonts, and on the same papers as our stationery suite. Don’t forget that your Save the Dates and Invites were the first hints your guests received to give them an idea of the theme and level of formality to expect at your wedding, when they arrive and see those designs continued in signage and escort cards, the event feels well-styled and cohesive in design.”
“More brides than ever are requesting buttercream cakes, however, these are not the buttercream cakes of our mother’s era. Brides want new texture and techniques with the appetizing look of buttercream. The cake for this shoot combined buttercream with the trending metallic look. The cake is airbrushed gold and elevated with a very simple glass pedestal stand.” – Julie with Layers-Cake
