Flower Friday: A Lovely Spring Inspired Shoot

Its a beautiful flower Friday! Calie Williams of Calie Rose Floral & Event Design constructed this amazing and gorgeous floral shoot that will be sending us off for the weekend. Its breathtaking and nothing short of inspiring. This is what she had to say about these well designed pieces ….

Inspired by the spirit of spring, when colors start to paint our surroundings, and seasonal aesthetics are detailed and perfect. Flowers play an important role in achieving the overall look of an event.

I wanted to create a vintage meets rustic look in a spring color palette. Wood tones are used as a backdrop with soft pastels in shades of pink, peach, and buttercream yellow to play up the vintage look. Deep colors in plum, purple, orange, and slate blue were incorporated to enhance the overall tones.

Decor elements incorporated were: burlap, twine, wooden boxes, lanterns, old world books, vintage bottles, lace, and creamy white scalloped dinner plates, all elements crucial to the look. All bridal party flowers were finished in a slate blue satin ribbon. Bridesmaid bouquets are monochromatic as to make a bold statement, while the brides bouquet has an infusion of colors accented with lace, secured with twine, and finished with a weathered key to complete the look.

The flower combination’s I chose to use for this shoot included: Juliet garden rose’s, spray roses, ruffly lisianthus, dahlias, ranunculus, pincushions, eriostemon, pussy willow, baby blue eucalyptus, dusty miller, and 3 tones of carnations.

Thanks Calie for sharing with UBB your stunning inspiring shoot! Heart flower Friday for this gorgeous reason! The simplicity of this shoot allows the complexity of the florals to really take a stand, it really shows how big of a difference florals make in the aesthetic of your event, they have amazing potential to create a beautiful event almost on their own!

Dont forget that UBB gals will be at the Bridal Extravaganza (south town expo) this weekend, sat from 11-5:30 so if your itching to meet us or ask us something, stop by!
