Flower Friday: Centerpiece Recipe With Studio Stems

IMG_6935It’s our favorite Friday! And we have a summer beauty to share with you today from our very own Studio Stems! We loved the gold accents that turned this summer mix of blooms glam too!

Most of us florists pair up our UBB recipe assignments with a good wedding or other event we already have blooms coming in for, I am no exception! I knew that June would be a great month for a recipe from us because we had a gorgeous wedding on the books. What we loved about this wedding was the blend of the current trendy pale tone on tone hues in those blush, ivory, and earthy shades with some hot and vibrant tones of pink and coral, making it a beautiful summer palette!

These centerpieces were made for an outdoor garden wedding, but this bride wanted to formalize it a bit and gold was her color of glam to do so! We used brilliant gold vessels to house all of her centerpieces. Each container held a garden style arrangement of various blooms and foliage fit to her personal style.

IMG_6970 Our big blooms set the stage with some stunning beauty, all of them appeal to many local brides. This is the season for the peony! Coral charm is one of our favorites at the studio so we were thrilled to utilize the season so well. The gorgeous and full dinner plate dahlias just hit the scene for the season, a welcome addition, and hydrangea is a classic staple here at Studio Stems.

IMG_6993 IMG_7013This is also a great season for local garden flowers and for this wedding we had fortunate access to some pink/red locally grown garden roses that really made this arrangement in many ways, with its gorgeous natural foliage and some hot color! We used some of our favorite foliage here at our studio, some Seeded Euc, {this time painted gold} and the ever so fragrant and lovely Jasmine Vine. In addition we snagged some local tree foliage to add some texture and bright green tones.

IMG_6902Thanks Studio Stems for joining us for another great Flower Friday recipe post! Have a great official start to summer weekend UBB readers!

I am a part of Alpha Delta Pi of Indiana University. For our preference round I am trying to find gold centerpieces and was wondering if you know where you purchased the round gold one.
    Thank you

Sarah – it was created by a floral design company out of utah named studio stems. Any designer though would be able to help you locate gold urn options. best done in your area!
