What a wonderful giveaway! We are having a seaside wedding, so a short veil would be great especially if it’s windy! I would love to win because we just don’t have much room in the budget for the veil I want and I think winning this giveaway would be such a blessing.

This is gorgeous! We’re planning a semi-elopement in Big Sur with just our parents. This would fit our vibe perfectly!

I have always wanted a Bird Cage Veil. My wedding is going to simple but elegant. My colors are black, lime green, white and a hint of orange. I am going to be getting my girls little black bird cage veils, and I am going to have a white veil just like the one you have posted as a give away. I think it is beautiful.
I am picky when it comes to my dress and what my veil will look like, since I will be having pictures and will be looking at them forever! 🙂 I think this veil would be perfect.

I absolutely love these veils! I am marrying my high school sweetheart in September, and am doing a vintage themed wedding. I am having a custom made ivory vintage dress, with antique birdcages as centerpieces and ivory calla lilies with peacock feathers as my bouquet. I know that this french veil would fit perfectly into my theme, and give it the perfect touch! Since I am doing my wedding on a tight budget, winning this veil would be a dream come true. Thank you!!!

This is a beautiful french net veil, exactly what I would be looking for! This October I will be marrying the man of my dreams. Unfortunately we have had to cut back quite a bit on our wedding budget due to both of my parents loosing their job due to economic times. The style of my wedding will be Classic Modern Chic and my colors are teal, orange and lime green with dark accents including black. My dress is very beautiful! It is an ivory, A-line gown made of Chiffon. It has asymmetrical ruching that extends into a slightly dropped waist with cute handmade flowers that diagonally cross the body of the dress. Winning this veil would truly appreciated!

I adore the French veils! I am planning a small vintage “feel” wedding for December and am working on a small budget. My fiance is away for a semester in Buffalo NY while I finish school in Utah and I want everything to be perfect for the wedding since we will be apart for so long. Any help I can get would be great!

I recently found my dress! I knew when I saw it, that it was the one. It is very French Couture, Jim Hjelm 8950. However, I have been struggling with what type of veil to wear =( We live in a small town in Nebraska, so I don’t want to scare people by going ‘too vogue.’ When I stumbled onto this site I instantly loved the style AND our color is yellow =) I am making all of our table runners; they are going to be a black and white paisley fabric. I still have 10 months before our big day (June 5th, 2010) and want it to be perfect. I am going to frame a bunch of our pictures, the two of us, as well as pix of fam & friends, and have them throughout the venue. Each frame will be unique, not alike. I am also doing all of our flowers as well. I’m thinking of yellow and white calla lilies, yellow and green ranunculus…but haven’t figured out the details for that yet. My maids will wear yellow (jcrew wedding collection, color Sunflower) and the men will wear black.

I would love to win this veil–Absolutely LOVE IT!!

Best wishes to all in the planning of your big day!

    XOXO-M

I have always wanted a wedding that would be the start of something long lasting, so my main concern was with the man. I am so lucky he found me. And since I am not one who has planned my wedding since my kindergarten days, I can honestly say I will need much help in the planning, but I see that the veil you offer is striking and beautiful. I love antique design and will include it throughout my wedding. I would be a grateful recipient and here is my silly reasoning:

My ancestral heritage is English. Below you can see how much the English care for the French in conflicts since early on:
    * The Norman Conquest of 1066.
    * The Hundred Years’ War (1337–1453). BRUTAL!
    * The Seven Years’ War (1756–1763). **It lasted 7 years**
    * The American Revolutionary War (1775–1783).
    * The French Revolutionary Wars and Napoleonic Wars
    (1792–1815).

I however choose to forgive and forget the unfortunate past and celebrate the allied forces starting in the World Wars. The impeccable taste displayed in this veil echoes the unions of those two great nations after so many years of rivalry. I say EMBRACE FORGIVENESS; and that will be the hallmark of my marriage. I love the French, only slightly less than my fiance (also a French word). Faites l’amour pas la guerre! 🙂

Seriously though, thanks for considering me as a contestant.
    Merci!

I would love to have a veil just like this! I’m dress shopping at the moment and I’m thinking of a lace dress with lots of detailing with a queen anne neckline. This veil would work perfectly! I love french styles, and it would be perfect because I want my reception to have a french theme since I got engaged at the Paris in the Eiffel Tower. I’d love to win this especially since my budget is so tight already (only my fiance and I are paying for it plus we’re paying for college too) I won’t be able to afford a veil. Thanks for this wonderful opportunity! I love this blog and Alta Moda!

  10. Liz says:

I am SO glad I checked UBB today! I recently got back into town and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to open my laptop. My wedding’s theme is classic/elegant, and I think this veil would definitely add to my wedding ensemble. I’ve spent an extensive amount of time in Europe, (my dress is even by a Welsh designer) and I think this veil would add another touch to the subtle European undertone of the wedding. I love, love, love this style of veil and think it would be wonderful to win!

  11. Sasha says:

awe. i love this veil. my husband and i got married last year, but due to my health problems at the time we had so much medical bills and couldnt have a reception or groomals/ bridals taken. so, we decided to do it this fall, before we both won’t be able to fit in our wedding day clothes!

  12. Brandy says:

My fiance and I are old junior high friends, and met up again when my girl friend got married in the summer. Then I was going to school at The University of Alabama and he was attending college in Arkansas. I was planning on making the trip from Tuscaloosa, AL to Fayetteville, AR for the Alabama/Arkansas game that fall and since then we have pretty much been inseparable. We figured it would be fitting for our wedding to coincide with our favorite time of the year – football season. Both of our families are die-hard southern football fans – there’s nothing like a house divided. And even more fitting to have the wedding the night before our most rivaled day of the year – the Alabama/Arkansas game. We plan to say our vows at dusk, one of our favorite times of the day, outside under the beautiful Ozark mountain foliage. We plan to raise hell throughout Dickson Street and once Saturday rolls around, it will once again be Brandy vs. Brad and for the first time WIFE vs. HUSBAND. If you haven’t ever been to a southern football game, you wouldn’t understand why this veil would not only be perfect for the wedding and reception, but also my game day attire. My dress will be a little too fun on the bottom to accompany a long veil, but this would be perfect. Its classy, fun, and southern -> motto of the wedding!

  13. Susan Conant says:

I love this veil. It would be perfect with my gown. I am 54 and finally met the man of my dreams. Would love your veil to make it that much better.

  14. I adore vintage EVERYTHING! Since I can remember that french veil has been in my dreams for the perfect wedding. I havent found the perfect dress because I want to base it off of the perfect veil, which I have discovered here today. My wedding will be in the fall in the back yard at my parents house. Very small, simple, and lovely. You would make a litte girls dream come true with this magnificent gift you have decided to give. Whoever recieves it will be absolutely lucky. I wish the best to everyone. Thank you for this opurtunity.
