Bridesmaid Dresses

Today’s inspiration comes from this image that I love and I thought it would be a fun topic to discuss. I love how the bridesmaids are wearing completely different styles of dress, but how they all seem to flow perfectly together by using a similar color hue. I love mismatch bridesmaids dresses and how it shows of the unique side of each girl while still coordinating effortlessly with the wedding event. I personally know how hard it can be to find the “perfect” bridesmaids dresses that will look good on everyone in the party so I think this is the perfect option….

Same color hue – different silhouettes:

Try using the same color hue and even different shades of one color to create a mismatched look while keeping the uniformity. Above is a clover green color in three different styles of dresses from J Crew. This was easy to put together because many stores offer different lengths and styles of dresses in the same colors. Have fun with doing different lengths and neck lines to spice it up!

Patterend Dresses:

Patterns are so in right now and how cute it would be to incorperate some fresh patterns into your line up. Stay with in the same color family, but add some spice by having some of the girls wearing a coordinating design. To really create a stir… try doing all patterend dresses but in different accent colors!

yellow

Bright colors that make a statement:

I just can’t get over my love for yellow! Such a happy color and a perfect color for bridesmaids dresses! Yes, yellow can come off as a little bright… but bright colors are in! If you go with an edgy and flashy color, do something simple with the hair and jewelry to balance it out and keep it elegant.

You can never go wrong with neutrals:

If you want to go with a more sophisticated simple look try using neutral shades of graphite and peweter. Gray is a modern accent color and perfect for a chic event. Each girl can wear hues of gray or stick with a common shade. Bring in some color with the flowers and jewelry. I’m also really loven the matching gray shoes for the perfect touch!

More than one color:

If you can pick just one… use them all! Pick the same style of dress and use alternating colors to really created some eye candy! This is also a pretty easy thing to do because many dress stores offer the exact same style of dress in different colors. Even throw  in some different lengths and patterns! The thing that stays consistent with these three dresses is that they are all made out of the same chiffon material. I have to say that my favorite dress out of this J Crew collection is the long dress in the middle! We tend to think short dresses for the spring and summer…. but I love the light and romantic silhouette of this dress!
