We are so delighted to share this beautiful Red Butte Garden wedding. Baylee and Thomas tied the knot September 17, 2014 and it was all captured by the lovely Melissa Kelsey Photography.
From the photographer:
“Baylee is probably the sweetest, kindest, most thoughtful bride I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Thomas is adorable, and you can tell he loves her so much. Baylee and Thomas chose to spend the bulk of their budget where they felt it really mattered—on flowers, attire, and photography. This made for a simple, chic, and beautiful wedding, with a focus on being married amongst family and close friends. When Baylee and I were corresponding before her wedding, this is how she described her wedding vision.”
From the Bride:
“I wanted a very rich, honest, and elegant feel for my wedding. I was not looking for anything super trendy, more like something that speaks of beauty and timeless love. My colors were dark burgundy, blush tones, and blackberry as a subtle accent.
“As a bride, I was a little clueless as to what my “dream dress” even was. I knew what characteristics I wanted: refreshing, timeless, one-of-a-kind and reasonably priced. As for actual design, I was at a loss. While searching a website that sold used designer dresses, called Tradesy, I quickly took note of one posted by a bride in San Francisco, that seemed too good to be true. The gown was by an Italian-Australian designer named Carla Zampatti, and it was more than perfect.
“We didn’t really have “bridesmaids” or “groomsmen” but more-or-less wanted there to be a strong focus on our family during the ceremony. We both come from blended families and we felt it important that all families were part of the ceremony in some way.”
