Today is fashion summer inspiration day, and for some of you this is the key to looking and actually being amazing at your wedding, or elsewhere! For this shoot we added a little more life to the set with the addition of two great bridesmaids. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to access our local {and preferred} resource Lily & Iris. And we added an amazing alternative to groomal attire Beckett & Rob. Lets not forget the accessories and hair and makeup, after all those elements bring it all together and finish it off!
Hopefully if your a regular reader you are also well acquainted with Lily & Iris {if not you need to do so quickly}. It is the most darling bridesmaid boutique we have here in this wonderful state and has a lot to offer the wedding fashion industry. You will find more then just the best bridesmaid dresses in town, you can also find a few specific bridal options there as well. For this shoot we chose a bridal dress from Lily & Iris, the “Emily” by Fancy New York. A drop waist strapless gown with a tea-length dotted tulle skirt completed with a red ribbon sash. A little more of a casual bridal option, perfect for a lakeside nuptial.
The bridesmaid dresses also were graciously provided by Lily & Iris. Bridesmaid one {red} is wearing a sweat heart neckline pencil dress with accent pockets in ribbon red silk shantung from the Dessy Group.
Bridesmaid two {blue} is wearing an a-lined taffeta dress with a draped surplice bodice and spaghetti straps in a lovely marine blue.
The traditional tux is not always well suited to every wedding, and it wasn’t for our inspiration shoot this time around. We chose this gorgeous suit custom fit and chosen for our us by Beckett & Robb. A Utah-based custom clothier suits, shirts, and tuxedos for men. B&R is fast becoming the go to solution for grooms, groomsman, and executives alike. Although suits are available at many local stores, the off-the-rack cut leaves much to be desired. The B&R fitting process is truly 100% custom, every shirt and suit is made by hand without the use of a pattern.
At Beckett & Robb there is a fine art to what appears to be so beautifully simple. It requires the rare ability to balance line and proportion, to compose a subtle curve, to refine and perfect each detail. The Beckett & Robb collection transcends the fashion of the moment, bridging past and future to create a sense of timeless style and luxury. The workmanship is nearly unsurpassed, every detail perfected.
The suit featured here is from the Bakerloo collection, made of super 150′s 100% wool, this navy blue 8.5 ounce fabric is the perfect all-season suit. Also featured is the B&R pocket square with red trim detail.
It was a special treat, and great addition to the shoot, to have Christina Forrest with Stella & Dot on site to hand select jewelry pieces well suited for our bride and bridesmaids. Christina chose styles with a lot of texture and details to compliment the understated elegance of the dresses. Each piece has a story, from hand woven beads on silk to a necklace with countless ways to wear it! Stella and Dot jewelry goes on the journey with the bride, whether it is announcing her engagement in a simple pair of jeans and our “vintage twist” bracelet, to that special day accompanied by several pieces.
The bride was wearing: Deco Drop earrings, Marrakesh Bib necklace, and an heirloom deco bracelet. Her ring is from Christina’s personal jewelery arsenal.
Bridesmaids are both wearing: Soiree Stud earrings
Haley {blue} is wearing: La Coco Cupchain necklaces, Vintage twist bracelet in both silver & gold, She also adorns a ring from the stylists personal collection.
Maranda {red} is wearing: Adrienne mixed chain necklace, and a La Coco Cupchain necklace as a bracelet, with an additional diamond bracelet to compliment.

We also turned to a preferred vendor here at UBB for all the professional makeup and hair artistry for this shoot. Cynthia with Enizio and her team completed the looks with their soft and natural summer trend setting looks. 2011 trends are calling for natural beauty, its about making the client look healthy and fit. With natural textures for the hair and makeup and glowing skin that portrays healthy habits.
Our bride received a half-up-half-down style that exudes a soft fun and playful look, very appropriate for a lakeside summer wedding. Her makeup was in spirit a continuation of her hair, however because this is meant to be a wedding, her look was amped a little to set her apart from her everyday look.
As a bridesmaid, you are chosen to be in the spotlight with the bride, so your look is just as important but doesn’t have to be extravagant. Something simple and classic can do the job, and that’s what Enizio portrayed.
Team Enizio has had the privileged to work with many, many brides. They have seen trends come and go and have seen how hair and makeup design has the power to make or break the overall look of the bride. What they have learned is that it is important to be true to yourself through your makeup and hair design. However it is crucial to understand that you are designing the way you will look for the event of your life. Your hair and makeup should be in harmony with the rest of your look, an extraordinary gown calls for extraordinary hair and makeup, if not you will look unfinished.
