Utah Geisha Bridals

Today we have a gorgeous and unique bridal feature from Opie Foto! These Geisha style bridals are so beautiful in so many ways and we have loved getting to know a little bit about the Japanese bridal traditions. The Japanese bride-to-be may be painted pure white from head to toe, which signifies that she is visibly declaring her maiden status.¬†Kimono’s are most often worn by women for special occasions such as a wedding or tea ceremony. A Kimono is generally worn with traditional footwear {zori or geta} and split-toe socks {tabi}.¬†Kanzashi are hair ornaments used in traditional Japanese hairstyles and are considered to have mystical powers which could ward off evil spirits and are most often worn by brides.
