Calie Rose sent us this color infused wildflower inspired wedding at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria, and we could not pass up sharing it with you! The use of mountain feeling blooms paired with some vibrant color is so refreshing! Not that we do not enjoy current color and style trends, it is just that we see so much of it that a jaunt into another direction here and there is really inspiring! Calie joins us with some insight into the floral designs and shares with us this gorgeous wedding! Thanks Calie!
We are excited that today’s feature is from one of our destination Park City weddings at Waldorf Astoria. Our couple spends a lot of time in the outdoors so we based the design concepts around wild flowers and natural elements. Their ceremony site, which took place on the mountain side overlooking Park City, was already beautiful to begin with. We wanted to help frame our couples ceremony so we used a birch arch decorated with wildflowers to achieve this. Birch cones hung on beautiful gold and Tiffany Blue chiavari chairs while centerpieces echoed this same look…all filled with a large variety of wildflowers.
We were ecstatic with the combination and vast variety of wildflowers that was used in our designs. A lovely color palette of purples, lavenders, blues, yellows, and whites felt like they were a splash of color on a blank canvas. It was a striking combination that seemed to perfectly marry one with another. Flowers used: Monarda, gomphrena, eryngium, nigella, veronica, lavender, scabiosa, solidaster, iris, corn flower, wax flower, monte casino, daisies, delphinium, larkspur, snapdragons, lisianthus, peonies, hydrangea, dahlias, succulents, and aspen leaves.
